Rutgers Financial Aid Award Notifications
Once your financial aid is packaged, you will receive an email with instructions on how to view your Financial Aid Awards. Notifications will be sent as incoming students who file the FAFSA before the priority filing deadline are packaged. Look for an email or visit this page to access your Rutgers Financial Aid Awards.
Submitting Verification Documents
Rutgers may need to verify some of the information you input on the FAFSA. If you need to submit additional documents, you will receive an email notification. Awards cannot be finalized until all requested documents are submitted and reviewed.
Applying for Financial Aid
The first step in applying for financial aid is to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The 2024-2025 FAFSA will be available on December 31, 2023 at studentaid.gov/FAFSA
Be sure to enter Rutgers Federal School Code (002629) on the FAFSA so your information is sent to the Rutgers Office of Financial Aid.
Priority Filing Deadline
The FAFSA priority filing deadline for incoming students is March 15, 2024. Filing the FAFSA before this date ensures that you are considered for all available funding at Rutgers.
